Project Lead | Software Developer II, ISU Extension and Outreach

May 2018 - Present

Project Lead for Data Science for Public Good (DSPG) projects that address local and state challenges around critical social issues.
Mentored DSPG teams and interns through pair programming, developer community events, and mod sessions to foster continuous improvement.
Spearheaded and successfully managed DSPG projects for the year 2023, focusing on “Local Food Systems & AI” and for the year 2022, focusing on “AgMRC Commodity Reports”.
Leading a team of three developers to design and develop Food System web application to provide food system practitioners and educational resources using React JS and NodeJS.
Delivered customer value by designing and delivering software solutions, including front-end interfaces, backend services, and data storage for food systems project.
Overhauled the obsolete legacy code production technique resulting in increased usability & early project delivery by few weeks by implementing Github CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborated with the cross-functional team to design and development of Indicator website to consolidate all the offerings and products of Indicators program for local decision-makers.

Created Multiuser Interaction Capability in the Immersive Environment inside Teamcenter visualization.
Developed teleportation and better menu interaction to improve the user interaction in the Immersive Environment using OpenGL.
Successfully integrated Rift and Vive with the in-house graphics engine to render the 3D models in VR. Also, worked on benchmarking that included getting performance data for rendering 3D models on Teamcenter and other competitor products.

Led a team of five to develop 42hertz Reporting Service using C# and Microsoft Dynamics AX that reduced report generation time by 50%. Professionals with basic knowledge of HTML and CSS can build and publish their customized reports in the template store.
